Ronn Orenstein moved to Damariscotta, ME with his family
from New Jersey. His commercial photography experience spans
over 25 years. He began his career in New York City. For 13 ½ years
he was Director of Photography for the Hartz Mountain Corporation.
He was responsible for all their packaging, marketing, point-of-purchase,
catalogue and PR photography.
Ronn is now seeking new clients in the New England area with
hopes of exploiting the full range of his experience and talent. "I
enjoy working with all types of people, discussing and exploring
their business goals and visions, and working with the client
to give them great commercial work that meets their business
needs.”
Ronn, his wife Dana along with their three boys have been
part-time residents of the area vacationing here for several
years, then owning a home in New Harbor. What encouraged them
to make the move when they did was in no small part motivated
by his wife's position as Global Chief Learning Officer for
the New York Institute of Finance, working in Tower Two of
the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Her being at
the epicenter of such a monumental event caused them to more
emphatically address the quality of life issues for their family
and what Damariscotta had to offer.
Ronn is the recipient of numerous awards for his commercial
work, which include recognition by the society of American
Graphic Design and Art Direction Magazine. He has written and
published several articles for magazines such as Photo District
News and Studio Photographer. Ronn taught photography at the
college level in both conventional and digital formats. Regarding
his teaching experience he stated, “My love and enthusiasm
for my career is constantly renewed by feeding off of the excitement
of my students.” Ronn has expertise in all aspects of
commercial photographic endeavors from the snap of his shutter
through digital enhancements to final production. |
